a month in a nutshell ♡ 2016.12

No comments:
The last weeks have passed like a blur and after realizing that I haven't done anything for New Year, let alone a year or at least December in a nutshell, the two first days of the new year are already over.
For the sake of completeness, I'm here to send in the last (horribly belated) month in a nutshell for 2016 today, which only consists of a handful of highlights that I captured last month.

a month in a nutshell ♡ 2016.11

No comments:

As you can guess by the lack of updates and the fact that even this résumé is a couple of days too late, November turned out to be crazy busy - all the more reason to share some impressions of how it was like; November in a nutshell.

a month in a nutshell ♡ 2016.07

No comments:

It's almost August, so it's time to gather all the impressions and small adventures I undertook in July and bring it all together in this posting.
If you follow me on twitter (it's @ yukuchan), you already saw all of that but since I am not limited to 140 characters here, you might get a little deeper insight anyway.

Precious Mineral Any Cushion ♡ makeup review

No comments:
I talked about this product in a lot of other postings regarding makeup and I thought it was about time to finally do the official review on it, so that the veil of secrecy doesn't need to be carried around any longer.
After I've been rather wary of the cushion foundation trend that took flight last year already and hasn't quite died down yet, I tried it when I was right at the source, last summer in Korea.
What can I say? It turns out my wariness just made me waste time.
I am in love with my new foundation. In case you didn't pick it up from the title yet, I'm talking about Etude House's Precious Mineral Any Cushion in the shade 'light pearl aura'.

Etude House ♡ Pink Cherry Blossom

No comments:
Finding a new Etude House news letter in my e-mailbox every other day isn't special.
These days they frustrate me because I'm still working to overcome a financial desaster that occured in the beginning of 2016 and therefore am in a constant state of pennilessness.
Today however, the title just caught my attention like a spell and provoked me to actually binge on some new makeup that should be on its way to my doorstep asap.
Etude House started a new event called 'Pink Cherry Blossom' and everyone who knows me at least fairly well or follows my tumblr is in the know about my obsessive love for cherry and plum blossoms or blooming trees in general.

Long story short, today I want to share with you what this event set and new collection is about and what else I ordered as an early birthday present for myself!

마임 MIME Happy Eye Black ♡ circle lens review

No comments:
It's been forever since I last did a review on circle lenses, so I figured it was about time to use some of the photos I already took back in September/October and finally work out a review on this pair of lenses - especially because I did have a couple of adventures with it.

I bought the MIME Happy Eye - Black when I was on vacation in Seoul.
One of my friends from Germany knew the store we went to and told me how good experiences she had with the store assistant who could even speak English moderately.
Let's say buying circle lens turned into an adventure.

Good Guy BB Cream ♡ makeup review

No comments:
It has been quite a while since I did my last review and given that I used this product for more than one year, it was about time I come around to say what I think about it.
image
When I first got into Korean makeup, I ordered a whole bunch of different BB creams I either read about before or found pleasing for the eye, from what I could see on my computer screen.
Finding foundation in my skin tone was always a struggle where I live because I am quite pale and even the lightest shades never quite fit.
Today I want to introduce and review the product that won the race in my first trial and that I have used for almost two years before getting a new, more suitable solution this summer:
Etude House's Moment st. Good Guy BB Cream.

お土産 ♡ what I bought in Japan

No comments:
Assuming from my own - pretty nosy - nature, I thought it would be fun to share what I spent all the money on, during my trip. Since I stayed a month in total, I'm sure a certain amount of cash was used to feed and carry myself around. There are only two or three days I recall, when I didn't board a train during my 4 weeks stay.

However, I got the chance to buy a lot of stuff - though I couldn't help my thrifty nature and didn't spend nearly as much as I feared I would - and especially the 100¥ shops, namely Daiso were to my liking. I still don't understand why we can't have something like that where I live.
Literally everything there was more pleasing to the eye than what I've seen for easily twice as much in my home country.
The quality might not be the best and I have to admit that some of the stationery I bought are decrepit by now (after one year of constant use), but other things from the same store still work completely fine.

sing, sweet nightingale ♡ makeup review

No comments:
Disney's Cinderella {new movie, old plot} came into the theaters where I live pretty much a month ago and I'm dying to see the movie - honestly.
I'm still sad that I couldn't watch Big Hero 6 when it was still playing and wait impatiently for its DVD to be released. So this time, I hopefully get myself into a cinema somewhere to enjoy this movie. I watched Disney's animation movie Cinderella from 1950 a billion times when I was a kid, so there is no way around this.
The special someone and I want to go to the cinema together this Friday but I'm afraid it will be out when the new movies come in on Thursday...

essence - one of my personal favorites when it comes to drug store makeup - released a LE to celebrate this movie, too.
