dinosaur lamps and other creations ♡

I mentioned it before, so now - to put a small break between the last posts about my Japan trip and to not let time lapse away too far - I decided to share a few impressions I gathered on this year's DMY.

DMY Berlin is an international platform/network for contemporary product/industrial design.
Every year they host the so-called International Design Festival, where famous and new designers have the chance to display their products, proto-types and new concepts.

highlights 2014 ♡ gamescom

No comments:

There are events like this, that I attended last year and I thought it would be a waste to just let the taken photos get dusty and forgotten... that is why there will be four posts about some of 2014's highlights - including this one: my gamescom Sunday last August.
Sadly 90% of my photos are blurry because we were on the go the whole day.

I can't really say much about the games you could play there. We didn't bother to get in line for anything because it wasn't quite worth to stand in line for several hours just to try out a game I didn't have the time or money to buy and ever see again, anyway.

live 2014 ☆ july, august, september and december

I'm as busy as a bee, this is already the second update I prepare for you guys.
This time we're talking about the other 4 concerts that were in my schedule 2014.

July 27th I went to Berlin to join other ARMY who were waiting excitedly to see BTS
a pretty new but really talented rap-heavy group of Korean boys.
It was really fun and I got to know a couple of really interesting,
bubbly teens when we were waiting in line.
This almost makes me feel kind of old, haha

live 2014 ☆ february, april, may and june

Seeing that I didn't give a lot of hints and news about the concerts I went to this year, I thought it was about time to gather these and write a few words about them.
This year was the first year I spent so much money - and time - on concerts but I enjoyed them all so much and looking back I just have a few regrets...

Since I'm a quite honest concert-goer and rather enjoy the experience and moment than taking photos like a madman - especially when it's more often prohibited than not - I rarely take pictures at the venue or anything at all.
In my opinion, I paid enough money on the time I'm going to spend there, so I'm gonna make it a good time and enjoy the moment instead of risking to get kicked out for some blurry photos.
But that is - as stated - just my opinion and I'm rather thankful to people who think differently - I can look up some good concert shots later then; hehe.
That being said, this post will contain more words than images.

At first some really exciting news - at least for me:
I finally got my confirmation mail!
I passed my Japanese II course and I can attend Korean I comming semester!
Yuku is going to learn Korean, too.

Anyway... how you probably read on デニ―ス [Denise]'s blog already (if you follow the both of us)... last Monday we were able to meet in the city of Berlin. hoho

 Outfit and makeup/close up

I was there already a few hours earlier because I had to get some shopping done.
Just simple drug store shopping - most of it at least - so I don't really have any gets that are worth to be shown... The only thing I bought is in the wash right now... and this cute case for my phone.

big birthdays and rain

I had to realize, that there are just 4 more weeks till my exams... That may sound long for some of you but it's definitely not - considering that I haven't spend a single thought about learning yet...

Anyway, I wanted to spamm you with some pictures and a bit of my life.
So the weekend before last weekend [2013-05-25] I went on a big birthday with my father and my grand parents. Apparently people of ''their'' part of the family [one of my grand aunt and her husband] were celebrating together and organised a big event.

Outfit of the day and the cute nail polish I got from my granny.

{event} 「TADAIMA o(≧▽≦)o OKAERI o(≧▽≦)o」LIVE CAFE TOUR 2012

14 comments:
It has already been more than a week but on November 20th I finally saw AN CAFE again, after they had their comeback in April this year and announced their 3rd WORLD TOUR soon afterwards I was ready to do everything to get me a ticket for their show in Berlin as soon as possible.
It came out to be their final show in Europe as well which actually just made it even more special!
The end of the story: I had my ticket already in May...? And almost cried of happiness when Neotokyo came back with their expensive VIP upgrade issue. I really was able to get an upgrade as well and so I actually couldn't sleep the days after I bought this because I already was so excited to meet them.

AN CAFE is the band who intodruced me to J-ROCK and Visual Kei and so there are no words to express my innest feelings for them. It's not exactly affection but some kind of deep connection. I'm so grateful towards them... it's unbelievable!
So to really meet them and thank them personally was one of the most precious things I could imagine!

{life update} AUGUST : gathered stuff [2/2]

Here we go with part 2.
Think I should get ready with those stuff here now... maybe I'll make it and post some more specific stuff soon then... Who knows...?

Some weeks ago I decided to take a shot of my more or less usual content in my bag, I carry with me...
It's not very detailed - rather rough but I wanted to share it with you anyway... quite egoistic, hun?

Then my best friend Däniz and I met again after we haven't seen us for quite a long time. We went to cinema and watched Disney-Pixar's Brave (in Germany it's called: Merida - Legends of the highlands).
It was such a cute and beautiful movie. I really like to watch animated movies. I keep saying it's to keep my inner child alive - because I really, really enjoy such stories.
Merida is full with funny and egocentric characters, and gosh I love the setting and her gorgeous hair.
A French friend told me that they spend almost 2 years to program her hair. It's amazing.

{event} "I won't go with this hair!" - but I did. - graduation ceremony post and prom night

TEXT HEAVY POST IS TEXT HEAVY !

I think... the week right before my graduation day/ceremony/day of my prom night was the most horrible I can remember...
I was all stressed, I was all distressed and everything what could have gone wrong went wrong... with the surmisably best result.
My graduation was on a Friday (8th of June) and I was really late ordering my extensions from the UK.
As you maybe already assumed - they weren't there in time though I paid extra for the fastest delivery...
But I could have spend a billion Dollar on fast delivery and it would have changed nothing when British online shop owner/employees start to work on your order three or four workdays AFTER you ordered and paid at one go. Actually I really like the UK and their citizens... but this is something I really started hating them for this week...

 CAUTION - TEXT HEAVY !

I just realize that more than a month passed since that event.
I feel really bad posting now about it because it really was worth being posted right the next day or at least within the week afterwards...
I try to catch up with all the things I wanted to post about this and the following week now...
I apologize for my delay again...

.... anyway Here we go !
I bought the tickets for this live already in February.
The one for my best friend P*chan - which was a birthday present then - and mine.
I just realized that we didn't made photos together this day, dear...
Shame on us

{event} Celebrating love - CSD Berlin 2012

3 comments:
Yesterday (Sa, 06-23 2012) was Christopher Street Day in Berlin.
The years before I forgot the date, lost it or had other events on that day so it was the first time for me joining this parade. I went there with my uncle Martin.

It was super awesome weather for it and we watched all the trucks passing by before we followed them through Berlin's inner city to the Brandenburg Gate.
It was loud, it was crowdy, it was hot and colorful. And it was so overwhelming and beautiful.
There were so many great costumes, some awkward ones as well. lol. And so many people.

We got bunches of stickers and flyers.... and everyone always went straight to my uncle, sticking him all over with funny/cute propaganda stickers: "Herz mich" (engl: Heart me ⇒ ♥ Me ⇒ Love me), "Erforsch mich" (engl: Discover me) - hrrr. - "Nimm mich" (engl: take me), and so on...
And I really, really love the verbal exchange we had during that...
Yuku: "Why are they always just sticking these on you? I'm right next to you but they always go straight to you and leave me out then!"
Martin: "Well... It's because I'm gay."

{life update} and previously... [april, 15]

Heiya!
When I searched for the photos I just showed you I found the photos I took at Hanami this year.
Yeah... At the 14th and 15th of April in Berlin in the Gardens of the world was a big festival in occation of Hanami. I went there with a good friend of mine - Lil.

I just want to show you some pictures because I thought it would be a pity having them but never sharing them...
There were soo many cosplayers and also some of the persons with which we met up did.
But I haven't any good photos and most of the other cosplayers I saw weren't... THAT good.
I mean.. I really, really, respect cosplayers because I never ever tried it myself and I'm sure I'd just bloodly fail.
But there are others who obviously aren't made to cosplay.... and do it anyway.
I'm happy if they feel good doing that but in fact... I fear they just make others laugh at them.

Anyway... The cherry blossoms where really, really beautiful and I wondered if Hanami (the big convention in Ludwigshafen am Rhein,Germany) would make sense because already in April the blossoms started to... fade.
And the big con was even later...
