hiatus on yukulicious ♡

No comments:
I've been offline here for so long that I don't even remember how to start a decent blogpost...

It's been in fact almost 3 months since I last set foot on my own blog and while I did think about it from time to time, there are just so many other things on my mind right now.
I was thinking about restructuring my content and giving this blog a new face for almost 6 months now but I just can't find the time to make up my mind and think everything through right now - let alone get my hands on any HTML/CSS related stuff.

Beside the time I spend on my part-time job, I need to concentrate on my research for my B.A. thesis right now and will take two other classes for my graduate-programm this summer, too.

Moreover there are a lot of other creative projects in my head right now (I've been rather active with my fanfiction writing, for example) and I want to take the time to work on these because the immense joy I find in writing has resurfaced after years of writer's block.
source ♡
I don't want to give up blogging for good, but right now there is just too much other stuff to take care of, so I feel like there is no way around me taking a longer break from blogging.

It's a hobby after all and while I like to be dedicated and invested in keeping everything up with a schedule I don't want to make it feel like a chore.
It just feels wrong to force myself to create content I know I'm not content with right now.

I don't want any of my followers to feel sad because after all, I'm still around. But I hope that this will shed some light and will make it easier for everyone to understand why yukulicious has been lacking updates these past weeks and probably will for another couple of months.

I'm pretty active on my tumblr and twitter, though so feel free to join in on my shenanigans there!

fanfiction ♡ ANDROMEDA

No comments:
This time, I have really exciting news. At least I'm really jittery and happy and a bit proud.
Some of you should know that I have a weak spot for fanfiction and used to spend a good part of my time on websites like asianfanfics. Specifically, since I upload my fanfictions there as well.
However, because of the massive schedule I had with university repeatively throwing bricks into my face - proverbially of course - I now, after beating a writer's block that lasted almost nine months and preparations I did, starting from the first spark of an idea, till editing covers, that took a year at least altogether; I decided it was time to take the big step and get my new project, my first real - big - project
{at least since I started to write in English} out there.

weblog ♡ layout update

No comments:

Actually I wanted to write a larger post,
but I was so busy this weekend and haven't finished half of the things I wanted to do.
Currently, I try NOT to panic or stress out about them yet.
I've been writing a Japanese report today and still need to polish up my vocabulary knowledge for the Korean midterm on Wednesday...

Eitherway I wanted to point out that there were some minor changes in the layout...
I added two new widgets - from my twitter account, as well as from ask.fm.
I think it is convenient and a nice addition to the stuff you can already find there.
I secrelty added another page to that blog, too.
When you click my photo on the sidebar, you can find a small ABOUT ME page now.
I haven't exactly found a less hidden alternative that's still for my liking yet, so I'll leave it like that for now.

I wish you the best and a great start into the next week.
Any question? Ask in a comment below.

mini pokémon quiz ♡

8 comments:
Since I'm still home, recovering... I was lucky enough to check out a new blog-project that was just born and I'm absolutely thrilled. ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ
Two really dear and super cute French ladies I met via instagram - and twitter - decided to start a blog together and it sounds and looks so promising, I get all excited whenever I see it.
You really should check out their newly founded page; cacachi.
They are super nice and really, really cute people, so make sure to pay them a visit. (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤

However, Caca's first upload was about so called Pokémon-Questions and I think they were absolutely adorable and a nice, cute and also rather short idea to keep my blog a little active.

mini announcement & mega excitement ♡

6 comments:
Sorry guys, no updates for you this week end.
I have to recover in high-speed from a sudden fever till tomorrow so that I can go to Düsseldorf.
Yes, I haven't mentioned it before but I'm actually going to see B.A.P there on Saturday and I can't wait as much as I don't care about my health condition because I will go there no matter what.
Not really smart, I know - but {I never thought I would ever use that in any case ever - not even to prevent a life-threatening situation} you only live once. Besides I'm relatively optimistic about me recovering fast.

I will keep you a little updated on twitter - and if not, I will try to give some sincere new postings some day next week.
I will go and drown myself in medicaments now {no, I won't I don't like them and most of them don't help anyway} and go to bed then.

只今!♡

6 comments:
只今!{tadaima!} I'm back.
I've been home again since Monday evening but I didn't even manage to unpack and tidy up everything completely yet because I'm super lazy.

University starts soon again but this semester is going to be a lot more relaxed than the last one and so I'm quite hopeful that I will be able to upload more during summer.
That is if my laziness doesn't go overboard with me.

At the moment I'm not quite sure yet how I should do my postings about my stay in Japan and I would like you to tell me if you want it chronologically or sorted by specific topics or locations I went to or-
I don't even know.
I have roughly 6.5GB photos and I'm pretty sure that I won't upload every single one of them. So there is a big part of sorting-out-work waiting for me once I decided on a concept of how to organize my postings.

There are still a bunch of not-Japan-related posts waiting in line that I actually already wanted to do in February and January.
- being too busy and/or too lazy for regular uploads can be such a pain, I tell you...

Because I don't want the post to look too empty, have a photo from my first days in Tokyo.

ハッピーバレンタインデー ♡ single awareness day

10 comments:
{yes, I developed a huge proclivity for Japanese characters on my blog. If I could - and my skills would allow it, I'd prolly write even more parts in Japanese}
There you go, guys. There you go.
It's been a long time but I don't want to spend the short while I have to write this, complaining about how effing busy I am.
Just letting you know that I'm still alive. {barely, but I am}
My exams are next Monday and afterwards I have to write my term paper so I'll be forced to stay teetotal from the Internet a little longer... which sucks.
I have so many things I actually wanted to post before I'll flood you with my impressions when I'm in Japan next month.

Eitherway. Happy Valentine's Day.
Actually there is nothing special about this day. I recieved chocolate in 1 of 19 years and it wasn't this year.... but at least I had a more or less legit excuse to scarf a whole milka chocolate bar in approximately 10minutes when I came back from university.

It feels kinda dumb for me to wish you a wonderful Valentine's Day because it would be really sad if you'd just be happy for one afternoon in February. I rather have you being happy and having a good time 365 days a year and not just one {which prolly isn't even your birthday and certainly not Christmas} on which you get burried under flowers which will die two days later anyway or end up with a massive stomachache because you ate too much chocolates.

No seriously. If you have a cute date with your special one, I hope you have the best and loveliest time... as long as you don't rub it into other's faces who might not be so lucky.
---- If you do, you're a massive dick.

With this in mind;

I'm late for 2014

10 comments:
Yes folks, this is what happens if you get the glorious idea to study two languages at once.
You'll end up being even late for new year's resolutions and posts and all sorts of things because this is how it seem to work.
Work. Urgh. Let's not talk about that. Let's just say, that I think I won't be able to post much till mid-February because university is eating me alive. Proverbially.
It sucks to be explicit because there were a bunch of postings I wanted to do in the near future.
But it won't help anything to whine now... so let's get to the actual topic of today.
★ My new haircut, as I announced back in 2013. And a new profile picture comes with it as well.

So usually I like doing these cute resolution postings.... though I never was able to fully live up to them yet.
This year - also because of time reasons - I won't do it.
The only thing, concerning 2014 that I wanted to leave here was that I surely are in the position to expect great things from this year.
I'll turn 20 in 3 months. And even more importantly {the first thing is just a birthday after all} I'll be in Tokyo in 6 weeks.
As I said when I announced my trip already - it's been about 6 or 7 years now, which I spent dreaming of this city... I'm super excited and seriously can't wait to get on the plane, though I'm really nervous at the same time.
But nonetheless, all I wish for 2014 is making me happy. When the 31st December 2014 comes - and I'm sure it will come faster than I can imagine right now - I want to look back and be content with this year.
That's all. As long as I don't have to regret anything it will be alright.

Of course I had to decorate my new calender a bit. It's much simpler than last year.
I simply love the "THIS IS GOING TO BE GAY AS HELL" stroke.
At first I had to write with a white wax crayon because my white edding didn't work, that's why the 2014 looks so scruffy in the picture.

So let's spend 2014 happily, guys.
I saw lovely recaps of 2013 on other blogs... but I don't think I will do one... I feel like it's getting too late and out of hand then... but I'll include my Christmas presents in a January {gets} posting, if I'll be able to write it.

mini shopping haul & sneak previews

20 comments:

I'm such a lazy bum lately... Like really.
I spend my days with my dear Yonghee, debating over my fanfictions or writing a bit, failing to practise 한글 and/or playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf or Assassin's Creed II (replaying it and ragequitting affectively once a day). I'm sorry though that my blog is kinda sleeping because of it right now.

When I looked through my folders, sorting out my pictures I realized that I did more in August than I actually thought. (Guess I'll write about this later)

After my last blog about shopping hauls I actually had a mini-shopping experience with a friend of mine.
So now I have a couple of pictures I can show you.

It's all from H&M (we went to ZARA first but the stuff there is definitely not in my price range)
The head is out of the kid's section but it was just way too cool to leave it there.

As the title already says;
Miya, the lovely author of [un]perfect memory is giving away some really cute stuff to celebrate her 100+ followers!

click the picture!
I'm here to congratulate her and because I - of course - don't want to miss the chance to get this super cute tarepanda plush toy! (next to other cute stuff)

So all you have to do is go on her blog, check out those lovely posts of her and eventually participate on this.(actually I don't want you to do so because my chances are higher to win this cutie if you just ignore this here!)
But you should totally check out her blog!
It's worth it! It's no coincidence this girl has so much followers.

blog news ♡

4 comments:
So basically I tried to create a kinda schedule for my blog the past few days... and didn't exactly was successful till now.

Actually this is just a post to state that I'm working on my new layout recently and try to figure out which other changes I'll have on my blog...

And this is a point where I actually would like to involve you.
Is there anything you especially like about my blog and want to see more often?
Is there something you don't like? Is there something you'd like to see?
Something new?
I'll definitely start to do more reviews (on games, TV shows, music, make-up etc.) once I have a schedule that works for me and my demands when it comes to my performance at university.
But if there are any wishes or ideas - this is your chance to share them with me!

So please leave a comment or write an e-mail at yuku.post[at]gmx.de.
image The sad side-effect. There won't be any further posts until I'm done with that. Sorry
+ I don't know how much time I'll find to work on the layout next week end.

Of course you can write your ideas in my askbox at tumblr as well.

Happy Blogging & random news

18 comments:
First of all.... I'm almost a little sorry that this isn't a special post at all.
It's my 100th post after all.
But I have a mini extra almost-kinda-present-thing, that might or might not be the smallest bit like a way to celebrate yukulicious' 100th post.
I don't know how long I blog in general now, but I never went this 'far' with a blog, that I hit this number of posts or the beautiful number of 76 GFC followers and the cute among of 19 followers via bloglovin.
I'm really happy though I'm a perfectionist and crave for a yuku that is able to design better layouts, for a yuku that can write better posts and a yuku that's still originally and herself. 。◕‿◕。
I wish that someday I will achieve all that and it would be a pleasure for me to be accompanied by you guys on that way.
I hope that also in the future, blogging will be a fun thing to do for me and I thank you all for your support and your comments. It really, really means a lot to me already, just to read your opinions on the nonesense I talk.

★ random news

▶▷ My second semester in university has started now.
They completely splitted my old courses, but it's nice to have a smaller group in my Japanese class now.
This time I decided to attend courses for Korean Culture and Chinese History (till 1840) as well.
They both sound so interesting and I don't need to write exams in these later because they are additional and belong to a module, where I can chose quite freely courses to get a wider view on East Asia in general, because my other cultural and social courses focus on Japan only. [complex and boring blabla about intern stuff in my university: check ✓ ]

▶▷ I was awake till 2am last night... but it was worth it! I did it!  \( `.∀´)/
Yuku's going to see The GazettE in September. Ohw yeah.
I will go together with my dear friends maya, aiji, shinpei and - probably - other friends of them.
I'm so happy, that we'll finally meet again and the reason makes it so much more awesome. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) ♫・*:.。. .。.:*・

▶▷ I'm 19 now and I might - maybe - write a bit about my birthday later... (´∇ノ`*)ノ

▶▷ To celebrate my 100th post, I decided to create an account on ask.fm. So you can spam me with questions or suggestions for posts, whenever you're bored and I will answer them.
Maybe right away... maybe not. [yep. sometimes I'm a lazy bastard]  (゜▽゜;)

I linked it in the sidebar too →
That's it. Basically.
I hope I'll be able to stay at least a bit active on my blog, though university gobbles up much time.
Thank you again and I hope you'll continue to have a good time whenever you stop by!

Follow me via Bloglovin ♡

4 comments:
So this is just a random update since I'm still on short vacation at my best friend Yonghee's place.

I just wanted to mention that I'd love if you follow yukulicious via bloglovin'. (click the pink bar in the network section on my sidebar) after the rumor(?) showed up again that google will cancel GFC.
I'd be sad to loose any of you, my lovely followers.
I'm not even sure when exactly and how this should be happening or why google considers closing down GFC...
I was planning to connect my bloglovin again on my sidebar anyway.

I'll blog about my staying when I'm back next week end...

{★} No Christmas Post 「?」

12 comments:
So this is literally going to be the lamest post I've ever made on my blog...
Sowhat.

It's late because I wanted to write a real 「How was Christmas?」blog post when I recieved all presents and stuff and can freak out showing you all the awesome stuff I got and tell you how much I love my nuts family for making things like this happen... but I know that there are still presents to come because I have a way too big family.
My auntie will visit us tomorrow and I know that I'll have a special belated presents-exchange-thing with two of my dearest friends a few days before New Years Eve...
And because I want to catch it all by once here - you have to wait for all that Christmas stuff. Hohoho

I hope I'll do some other posts - really - now these days but thought it would be rude to leave out Christmas without explaining...

{fashion} November's Outfits 「belated」

14 comments:
I'm sorry but I'm so busy with university - still.
I finally took the time to do all November outfits because I was lacking of them before and they really need to be posted before 2013.
I hope I'll be able to do December next week too so I can start from 0 next year without any late posts waiting.
Maybe I'll just do shots of outfits I really liked then.
I'm planning some changes on my blog anyway and hope that I'll be able to have a complete concept before my Christmas break is over.
I really have a bunch of work to do for university and Christmas isn't necessarily the time where I'm all by myself... Family members want to be visited, a hell lot of food needs to be eaten, presents need to be found and presented... all that stuff.

I still hope you'll have a good Christmas time and relaxing, joyful holidays.
I'll try to do some more updates these days.

{life update} random update & questions

2 comments:
Just one more week before university starts... yuku gets jittery.

I use this time to get important stuff done... like meeting some friends before they'll move to the other side of the world (west, west, southwest Germany), sparing with Deutsche Bahn, claiming that I finally tidy up my desk (and my room, and bathroom, and my lounge - hoho) but not doing it actually, thinking about applying for BAföG but not understanding anything when it gets kinda serious, spazzing out because I'm going to order an upgrade ticket for An Cafe in November as soon as possible (Thursday) to see all of them at first hand,... and playing some Pokémon or Final Fantasy XII of course.

I'll do some late outfit post from August later but there is a question I wanted to ask my beloved readers for some time now. You are almost 50 now! Beloved crazy people, you!

{★} 3 super short tag games

5 comments:
This is a - obviously in Germany started - tag game I got a while ago three times. That's why - now when I finally do it - I'll answer all three tags in this post.

I hope you are all OK with this.
I'll translate the rules for you now and then get going!

RULES
#1 Write down who tagged you and link the person.
#2 Write 8 facts about yourself regarding the chosen topic.
#3 Tag 10 8 other people.
#4 Chose a new theme for the tagged bloggers.
#5 Let them know that you tagged them.

So: Thanks to Angi, Dai and MinYoung for your tags.

Topic #1 (Angi): Traveling
1 I love to travel.
2 Actually I never went to vacation with my whole family. Not really.
3 I went to Sweden, Poland, Italy, Czechia and Britain already. Way too less.
4 I really want to go to Japan, South Korea, Finland and the USA.
5 I love to fly, though I only did it once till now.
6 Fortunately I actually never get motion sick.
7 I love foreign countries.
8 It would be awesome if I could make money with traveling.

Topic #2 (Dai): Childhood
1 It's still not over.
2 I used to have tons of Playmobil.
3 I didn't had a computer and Internet till I was... about 12. And this was good!
4 I loved to play Pokémon with my class mates in elementary school.
5 I was.... 8 when I wrote my first small stories. Now I love fanfictions... (;
6 For me my childhood was really precious and I wouldn't wanna miss a thing.
7 My grandma, my dad, my brother and I went to the Baltic Sea in summer almost every year.
8 I was a quite ordinary child.

Topic #3 (MinYoung)Future
1 I don't like to think too far in future. The thought about what might be in 5 or 10 years makes me nerveous.
2 I'm quite positive towards my future.
3 I still don't know for sure what my future will looks like but I like that feel.
4 I think parents shouldn't be too worried and focused on their childrens future. I mean - it's their life.
5 Anyway, we always SHOULD care about our future.
6 Giving some ordinary answers: I would like to become a good blogger or v-logger in closer future.
7 I hate New Year's resolutions because most of us all won't ever do what we say then. They make me unsatisfied with myself because I usually don't reach them.
8 Future without Present is less more than a thought. You always have to act to achieve something.

{★} lygo's tag

No comments:
As promised, here we go with a TAG I got quite a while ago.
Sorry for keep you waiting, lygo!

RULES

Each person must answer to those 11 questions the tagger has set and post answers. Then choose 11 persons to tag and link them in your post. Create eleven new questions for the people you tag to answer. Don't tag back.

1. What kind of party do you like?

LAN partys?
.... it always depends on my mood and the people there. I'm actually not the fan of big parties or lot dancing...
Maybe one of the reasons I don't like discos so much. I enjoy if you have good music on a party... but I'm more the 'let's sit together, have some drinks and good talks'- kinda party guy.

2. What's your favorite place?

My room; my bed.
There are places I never was before but I'm sure I'd love them....

3. What kind of body you like?

... to have or ... to see ''on'' a partner?
I don't like if people have too many muscles, looks artificial and dull.

4. Most important in your make-up?

Base & eye liner. my eyes tend to look so small.

5. Style you don't like?

Depends on the people who wear them. I didn't like hopper for a long time but I just noticed that beautiful people can wear every style without looking shit in them.

6. Going movies or watching at home?

I feel like I repeat myself: depends on the people I'm with.
I like to watch movies in cinema but most of the time I have not enough money....

7. facebook or twitter?

twitter. but I use fb as well.

8. Your biggest inpiration?

internet. because i couldn't decide on someone specific...

9. Person who knows you best?

my best friend.

10. Your favorite cd?

I'd say Thrill Ride Pirates from SuG.
because it's one of my favorites CDs I actually own as CD.

11. One goal you're going to reach?

Going to Japan. I'll definitely will.

Choose from a Question Set here, I'll create new ones the next time... and I tagged:
