Happy, happy Birthday girl ♡

No comments:
I'm not sure how many of you actually noticed, but my birthday passed rather silently last week on Wednesday (APRIL 6), which means .... I'm twenty-two years old now!
LV 22 - man, I hope my speed stats increased...

So in today's update I want to share some impressions of what's been going on last week...

I didn't have to go to my internship on that day, so I slept in, ate breakfast and cake with my parents, siblings, boyfriend and granny and simply enjoyed the free time.

raspberry cremecheese cake my granny makes every year especially for my birthday

heart shape tote bag ♡ review

No comments:
I screwed up my blogging schedule this week again and couldn't bring up a post on Wednesday - sorry about that. This semester's lectures are in their last stage and I only have to manage the next week (and my Japanese written exam on Thursday) until my semester break finally starts. I'll have to write a termpaper and sort out a lot of other stuff but I still look forward to it.

Since I don't want to let you hanging without any posting this week, I decided to write a short little review about the transparent heart shape tote backpack from MoLa_MoLa that I got last October or November already (I'm painfully slow with these, as you see). I ordered it in September from their storenvy shop (click here), when I was in a small shopping mood.

photos from the shop ♡

I was originally looking for a new backpack to use for university, since my old was slowly getting in a state of unmaintainability. Sadly the ordered backpack turned out to be too small for all the things I carry around on a daily basis but I'm still quite happy with the purchase.

十二月 ♡ a month in a nutshell

No comments:

I'm a little early with this nutshell but because we have the end of the year approaching, too I needed some compromising. It's only a couple of days left till 2015 is over and I'm not 100% sure if I am actually ready for 2015 to end just like that... or maybe it's only about the short vacation that will end on the 2nd January, too and the fact that I feel weirdly disoriented after the last food coma, now when we're finally done with the holidays' eating binges.
Anyway, I will stop with the rambling and try to focus on that small résumé of December, now.

마임 MIME Happy Eye Black ♡ circle lens review

No comments:
It's been forever since I last did a review on circle lenses, so I figured it was about time to use some of the photos I already took back in September/October and finally work out a review on this pair of lenses - especially because I did have a couple of adventures with it.

I bought the MIME Happy Eye - Black when I was on vacation in Seoul.
One of my friends from Germany knew the store we went to and told me how good experiences she had with the store assistant who could even speak English moderately.
Let's say buying circle lens turned into an adventure.

Sweetening daily life ♡ Autumn haul

No comments:
Partly inspired by Jessie from Jeweled Heart who published her most recent hauls like a machine the last couple of weeks, I decided to give you a small overview what I spent my money on the last couple of weeks, too.

Realizing that the majority of my new treasures emphasize my reawoken passion for anything cute, girly or pastel - it wasn't hard to decide on a title and this post here maybe gets me motivated enough to prepare a handful of reviews that I am dying to work on for you, but wasn't able to yet because grey weather only gave me crappy lightning that I wouldn't be satisfied with for my photos.
Maybe I will have more luck on a weekend, soon...

So this update is to share some of the things I might rave about in a review soon, or which I generally bought during the last two months (basically everything I got after returning from Korea in late August).

명동 ♡ window shopping expeditions

No comments:
< this post is picture heavy >
Next to the cultural, historical and traditional sites that I visited throughout my vacation, wandering through crowds of people and experiencing the rythym, the pace of the city myself was one of my favorite things to do and though I'm usually moderate with my spendings I really loved to go around and shop with my eyes. How could there be a better place to do that than Myeongdong, one of Seoul's main shopping districts?
Who caught sight of the headline (and is literate in hangul) might have already guessed it; none other is today's posting about!

Good Guy BB Cream ♡ makeup review

No comments:
It has been quite a while since I did my last review and given that I used this product for more than one year, it was about time I come around to say what I think about it.
image
When I first got into Korean makeup, I ordered a whole bunch of different BB creams I either read about before or found pleasing for the eye, from what I could see on my computer screen.
Finding foundation in my skin tone was always a struggle where I live because I am quite pale and even the lightest shades never quite fit.
Today I want to introduce and review the product that won the race in my first trial and that I have used for almost two years before getting a new, more suitable solution this summer:
Etude House's Moment st. Good Guy BB Cream.

お土産 ♡ what I bought in Japan

No comments:
Assuming from my own - pretty nosy - nature, I thought it would be fun to share what I spent all the money on, during my trip. Since I stayed a month in total, I'm sure a certain amount of cash was used to feed and carry myself around. There are only two or three days I recall, when I didn't board a train during my 4 weeks stay.

However, I got the chance to buy a lot of stuff - though I couldn't help my thrifty nature and didn't spend nearly as much as I feared I would - and especially the 100¥ shops, namely Daiso were to my liking. I still don't understand why we can't have something like that where I live.
Literally everything there was more pleasing to the eye than what I've seen for easily twice as much in my home country.
The quality might not be the best and I have to admit that some of the stationery I bought are decrepit by now (after one year of constant use), but other things from the same store still work completely fine.

flashback ♡ lovely birthday presents

No comments:
I love presents. I love to recieve them almost as much as I love to give them myself.
Sometimes it's a bit hard for me to accept them but in the end it always makes me happy and flattered when someone puts so many thoughts and so much heart into something, to give it to me as a present.
I still find it really hard to tell people what I want for my birthday or Christmas, since I have the habit to work towards my aims on my own and rather see my material wishes as rewards I have to work for, until I eventually earn them.
image
This might be a rather weird introduction for a birthday post, but here I am - pretty much one month after my actual level-up.
I don't count myself to the people who start to hate their birthday at some point, stressing out how they are growing old and... I really don't get it. I think aging is simply a natural process and it's not even as if you're suddenly a year older when the clock strikes 12am on your birthday - the aging is already done at this point and you can't really run from it anyway, besides there is nothing you have to run from in the first place.
I'm not an enthusiast either - at least when it comes to my own birthday.
I usually celebrate only with my closest friends and family, sometimes only the latter and celebrating usually means cake and nice talks and that's it.
As I mentioned in my last month in a nutshell, this years birthday was one of these I just decribed - being only inches away from the semester's start there wasn't so much time to do anything special whatsoever.
image
Eitherway, with this piece here, I want to share all the cute and amazing presents that were gifted to me and just thinking about them makes me all smiles, right now.

四月 ♡ a month in a nutshell

No comments:

I feel like it has been forever since I could post anything beside Pokémon Challenges and I'm so sorry for my lack of updates. Good thing, the 1st of May comes with a free Friday, which means finally a tiny bit of time to settle back and take a breather.
University has been crazy. I guess a big part of that is my personal aspiration and the idea of how much work I want myself to get done and how much effort I want myself to put into all of it. I talked about this in my studying tips update that feels so recently to me, though it has been three full weeks already.
So I guess another reason for why doing such an update feels like a decade to me is, that April just had a lot to offer and a lot of events that took place in some way or another.

sing, sweet nightingale ♡ makeup review

No comments:
Disney's Cinderella {new movie, old plot} came into the theaters where I live pretty much a month ago and I'm dying to see the movie - honestly.
I'm still sad that I couldn't watch Big Hero 6 when it was still playing and wait impatiently for its DVD to be released. So this time, I hopefully get myself into a cinema somewhere to enjoy this movie. I watched Disney's animation movie Cinderella from 1950 a billion times when I was a kid, so there is no way around this.
The special someone and I want to go to the cinema together this Friday but I'm afraid it will be out when the new movies come in on Thursday...

essence - one of my personal favorites when it comes to drug store makeup - released a LE to celebrate this movie, too.

everything under the Christmas tree ♡

Before it gets too late, it's time to share what presents I got for Christmas 2014.
University has recently kicked in again and I just hope I'll be able to keep a constant blogging schedule up, neverminding the studywork I have to do - especially now, when the exams draw nearer.

Once again, I hope you all could spent your holidays nicely.
I'll include a few shots from my Christmas holidays, too to re-create the mood.
After all I feel a bit weird for talking about Christmas 11days into the New Year.

I've shared my outfit for Christmas Eve
{that is when we exchange presents where I live}
a lot of times already, but I still really like it (‘∀’●)

2014 catch ♡ august - december

No comments:

As promised, I won't let you down on the second part of this year's catch.
There are still enough things I want to show you.
I did however not include any Christmas presents or the things I bought in Japan in these updates, since they'll get seperate updates next year.
A U G U S T
the only thing I got in August. I love to buy t-shirts as a memory after concerts... but sadly LedApple was the last concert where I was able to buy a souvenir like that for me.

a month in a nutshell ♡ 十一月

No comments:

It's the countdown these days, 2015 is coming closer and closer and I am still missing two months since I started this nutshell madness. I actually enjoy it a lot and I think I will continue it in 2015. It just looks so cute and I grew addicted to cute photo-edit apps on my phone anyway.

Here are some small peeks from November.
And surprise; this time there are 8 shots because I wanted to post some food, haha

28 December 2014

my favorite outfits of 2014 ♡

No comments:
When I looked through my hard drive yesterday to get these out here, I was kind of disappointed about how many of the outfits I wore - especially this spring and summer - don't appeal to me at all these days and I'm just kind of horrified by myself.
"How can you change your opinion of yourself so drastically, just looking at one picture??"
But then I realized that my view on myself didn't really change that much but that I just don't like the older shots as much as I like newer ones because my taste in fashion shifted a few inches this year.
Maybe something like that... I don't even know to be honest.
Sadly I didn't find a single outfit shot from Japan and man, I need to change that when I get the next chance to travel somewhere so great and inspiring.
Getting to the point of this post, I decided to share my favorite outfits of this year - in no particular order - with you.

I hope you all survived the holidays without getting burried by presents or fattened by gushy grandmas or aunts - I believe, we all have them.
I spent Christmas together with my family and my special someone and had the big luck to see three of my dearest friends for some hours during these days, too.
I got so many cute presents that it made me - in fact - speechless and am just so happy that I could be with so many loving people and share my happiness with them.
That's actually what I like the most about Christmas.

Eitherway, carrying on the tradition {and since time is running out for 2014} to sum up passed months in nutshells. This time; October.

celebrating my first lectures' day with Japanese lunch/dinner
I got really busy with the start of that month, so that my uploads on Instagram decreased drastically but the pictures on twitter advanced the same moment... which resulted in a lot of photos which are no longer square and fit the form I used for these nutshells. I still found enough to put up the familiar shape.

2014 catch ♡ april - july

No comments:
It's time to get some of the things done, that I whined about when I said there were posts that needed to be done before 2015 sneaks in behind our backs.
I noticed that I did way too few {gets} posts this year. The first was published really early, in February - you can read about it here.

And as I learned that many of my readers seem to like those, it's about time I do another one, and spam you with some of the goodness I got to call my own during the first half of the year.

Nothing new - I'm a huge BABY
so of course there was a point where I got myself some goodies.
This point was back in April and it was kind of a birthday present for myself;
if you want to say it like that.

a month in a nutshell ♡ 六月

2 comments:
I've returned home Monday night but didn't spend a single day of this week home yet...
Since September has already begun I decided it was for the best to put June in a nutshell as well.

I'm starting to get preparations done for university and I have a lot planned to re-arrange stuff in my room and in my every-day life. Also I try to meet up with friends a lot before lectures start again so... I'm a bit busy, you could say.

a month in a nutshell ♡ 五月

I'm on vacation, guys!
I'm going to be for a while, too. I've spent a week at Aiji and Maya's place.
Two lovely friends of mine, I meet way too rarely because we live on opposite sites of Germany (buh!)
Right now I'm besieging one of my precious real-life treasures, Cat.
She's so great and amazing but she'll probably never admit it though.
I sure could have done another JAPAN post now, but I feel like a lot has gone missing during these months of university and now... I feel like I just can't put all the pieces together enough to make it really interesting.
Guess university life just isn't interesting after all.
Long story short; I decided to put together at least a hand full of highlights - worthy enough for me to post it on Instagram - portraying what May was all about, long ago, when 2014 was still fresh and new.

bits of April in July ♡

I actually passed my oral exam two days ago and since I remembered a couple of photos I edited for you but didn't upload - back from April even - I thought I'd do a quick post-up to get that done and stay a little active - even if I said I wouldn't be.
