a month in a nutshell ♡ 2016.11

No comments:

As you can guess by the lack of updates and the fact that even this résumé is a couple of days too late, November turned out to be crazy busy - all the more reason to share some impressions of how it was like; November in a nutshell.

a month in a nutshell ♡ 2016.10

No comments:

It feels kind of weird that it is already time for another month in a nutshell again.
After life has been kind of slow the last weeks of September it sped up rapidly in October and there is so much that changed or is in change right now, I can't even grasp it completely yet - standing in the middle of it all.
It's actually so much going on right now, that I struggle to write coherent sentences right now - there is still so much whirling around in my head.
I hope that sitting down and writing about October and remembering some of the things I did the past couple of weeks will slow me down a bit. Maybe this will make the spinning stop (it's a great excuse to not do my homework, too - even though I will most probably regret it tomorrow).

a month in a nutshell ♡ 2016.08

Checking the amount of photos I uploaded to twitter this month contrasts highly with my general impression of not doing anything this past month, but actually this shows that I was up to something this summer after all and have a more or less legit excuse for the lack of updates here.
I'm not sure how much damage this did, since I didn't receive a single comment or any form of reaction from anyone the last two updates but I still promised myself to finally get back into blogging and update more regularily again.
I desperately need some structure in my life again, so I can't wait to overcome my weaker self and start going to the library more often again and start to work on my research and the internship report that's still due, starting next week.

Anyway, let's have a look at what August looked like for me - trying to pick the highlights out of more than 40 pictures between landscapes, food and lots of PokéGo. If you are curious and want to see all of them, feel free to check out my twitter (@ yukuchan) and follow me there!

Catching 'em all ♡ Pokémon Go Adventures

No comments:
Just as promised in my last month in a nutshell a few days ago, I will share some impressions of my adventures with Pokémon Go.

source ♡
I'm far from being an expert in this game and compared to a lot of my friends I'm not as absorbed in it
(my brother is around LV 22 or something while I'm at LV 10)
I guess I never was the person to play a lot of games on their phone - beside GPS eats up my phone's battery like it's nothing and seeing that I live about 2km from the next PokéStop or gym doesn't make it more appealing or easier for me to play.
I literally have to drive into the next city to be able to enjoy the game and catch more than Pidgey, Rattata, Weedle and the occasional Venonat.

I generally feel like the game is best enjoyed with a companion anyway, which brings us to today's topic: I had an amazing time when I met up with my best friend s.a.m two weeks ago to sound the bell for our summer break and catch some Pokémon together.

my favorite things in AnimalCrossing ♡ 20

It's hard to believe that I started this series several months ago already and that it is finally coming to an end. I still haven't released my dream town but I am close to finishing the landscaping and only need to finish my character's houses then, so I guess this challenge went along with a lot of change in my actual game, too.
As announced in part 19, I will talk about parts of the game today, that are so closely connected to the game itself that they become invisible sometimes and we forget them easily because they are just there all the time (at least some of them seem kind of meta - if you know what I mean).
So this part will include the last couple of favorites; Q67 ~ 70.

Here I am again, with the next to last update of this series. I'm almost done talking about one of my favorite games, Animal Crossing: New Leaf and my favorite things in it (though I could probably talk so much more about all the things that make this game so irresistable and exciting).
After I've gone through all the different villager specimen and kinds, one might get the impression the game is only about your neighbours.... and while that might be true in some contexts, there is a lot more to the game in the end and a lot of unanimated objects and things you can have a lot of fun with.
In this part of the Animal Crossing Challenge, I will talk about Q 63 ~ 66 (you can check out the full overview here).

Once again, I'm sharing with you some of the many things I love about one of my favorite games, ever - Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
You can find a full overview of the questions here
We are close to the finish line and after today, all my favorite villagers will be introduced.
After having splashing, small and fluffy, wildlife and exotic editions, today I'll talk about Q 60 ~ 62, the snappy edition.
As always I borrowed the small pixel sprites from A forest life, the original creator can be found here.

We've come a long way. After today, threre will only be three last updates about my favorite things in one of my favorite games: Animal Crossing: New Leaf (for the question overview click here).
I feel kind of accomplished, though it seems like not many of my readers actively followed this series.
I'm not sure if or which kind of series or challenge I could start after I'm done with this one and I'm not even sure if I am in the mood for yet another madness like that... but we'll see about that. If you have any ideas, feel free to let me know in a comment below.

This and the next part will introduce the last missing villager specimen to you and of course I will show pictures of my favorites, borrowed from the A forest Life - blog, the original creator's blog is here. Today's category includes question 57 ~ 59 and is the exotic edition.

After I skipped Wednesday's update because I had a deadline to deal with, it's time to welcome the new month and talk a bit about all the things I've done in Apirl - though you will have a small piece of April swooped over into May anyway, because I still haven't uploaded the last part of my spring blossom hunt.

With the first of April came the first blossoms and just like last year the purple-leaf plum in my front-yard transformed into my favorite photo motive for the following three weeks.

Today, I'm taking another step forward in my Animal Crossing challenge.
The finish line is already in sight but you can still click here, to check out the questionaire I'm working with.
The pictures I use to introduce the different villagers I show here, are taken from A Forest Life and the original owner's blog is linked here.

Part 16 is all about two other super fun species. One of them only contains three different characters, who are all rather popular whilst the other category seems a bit under-appreciated sometimes.
We're talking about the swimmers of the neighbourhood, the small guys and girls that go out without a umbrella in the rain and the ones that make us constantly wonder how they can actually survive on land. Question 55 ~ 56; frogs and octopi - the splish-splash edition.

It's time again to ramble about my favorite things in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
As always an overview of the questionaire is available here, and the pictures of the villagers, taken to bring some color and fun into this update are borrowed from the blog "A forest life". Their original owner's blog is here.

In part 15 - only 5 parts from the end, we'll leave the pets behind and talk about the wild animals, that we definitely need to visit a zoo to see in real life, here in the European sphere.
Part 14 includes question 49 ~ 54 - where we talk about every specimen between alligator and monkey.

Here we go with the next part of my Animal Crossing: New Leaf challenge, where I talk about my favorite things of the game.
As always you can find an overview of the questionaire here.

Today's specimen category contains 7 different animal types, which means lots and lots of images - that I borrowed from A forest life - just like in the other parts before. The original owner's blog is here.
After I talked about farm animals, pets, small fluffy things and bears, we have the big category of birds right in front of us from question 43 ~ 48.

Let's play together! ♡ とびだせどうぶつの森

No comments:
It took me ages to put this together and I hope that I didn't leave out anything important, when I share with you today, all the things you can do with the mulitplayer options in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

Just like you could visit your friends town in Wild World all these years prior there is no way this feature would be missing in the next title of the main series. In fact the glut of possibilities to enjoy this game with or due to other players is immense and I will try to explain the basics of most of them today.

Here we go again, with my favorite things in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
As always, I like the questionaire overview here.

After we talked about the small and fluffy villagers that wander through our towns, I'll continue with another animal family in the parts 41 ~ 42: bears and cubs - but sadly I didn't come up with a good name for their edition yet (you could comment one below if you get a good idea). As before the images of the characters are taken from the A forest life, original creator is linked here.

As always you can get an overview of the questions by clicking here.
After I talked about my favorite farm animals, that can become your neighbours it's time for the next category, that is all about the small bubbly villagers that can hide behind bushes and in flowers; the categories 38 ~ 40 - the small and fluffy edition.

As always in these specimen overviews, I took the images from a forest life, the original owner's blog is here.

new adventures ahead ♡ Pokémon Sun&Moon

No comments:
After there were unconfirmed things going on about the new Pokémon games on Thursday and particularily flooded my dashboard on tumblr, I got an excited message from one of my friends yesterday, who had time to watch the Pokémon Direct livestream, while I was on the move, to confirm: yes, we'll get a pair of new Pokémon games this year!
They're called Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon and the trailer kinda implies that we'll get to meet the 7th generation - a whole bunch of new Pokémon in these games.
I played almost all of the Pokémon games of the main series, that came since Pokémon Sapphire and Pokémon Ruby in 2003 and I'm super excited for the new games coming out.
There is not much information about it yet but I still adored the first trailer they put out, so that I decided to share it and the excitement with you.

Do you already know which of the two editions you'll get?
Actually, I want to wait till more information is out - it's still a lot of time since holiday season - but right now I lean towards Pokémon Moon because I've gone with the "red" editions for the last two games (Pokémon Y & Pokémon Omega Ruby).
I'm really excited about Pokémon Go, too but for the new game (and from the glimpses you see), I hope they bring back the trainer customization options from Pokémon X and Y.
Another feature that I always adored and wouldn't mind to have back as well: the first pokémon of your party following you around outside of their pokéball, like they did it in SoulSilver and HeartGold.

What do you hope to see in the new games?
Tell me in a comment below.

It's time again, for part 11/20.
As always I introduce my favorite things in Animal Crossing: New Leaf to you in different categories.
You can get an overview of the questions by clicking here.

After we've started into the different specimen of villagers last time, with the cute and fluffy edition, I'll continue with 33 ~ 37 - the farm edition today, again taking the pictures from a forest life - their original creator's blog is here.

Landscaping ♡ とびだせどうぶつの森

No comments:
After changing my last dreamie, Molly, perforce (there was no patience I could possibly serve with anymore), I finally found a lovely person via twitter, who I will adopt Marina from tomorrow, which means Faylea will finally have all its residents and I can start to landscape effectively after changing my mind about how a hundered times already.
On this occassion, I thought it was time to bring up the next part of that sector here, where I answer unasked questions and share tips and tricks about Animal Crossing: New Leaf (I just need a more or less reasonable output for all the knowledge I gathered obsessively).

So today, I will share a handful of things that come to my mind when thinking about how to plan and landscape your town.

It's time for the next part of my "my favorite things" challenge, revolving around one of my all time favorites: Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
It's already time to blow for half time, but I'll still try to encourage you to join in because I'm super curious about your favorite things and would love to share the excitement. You can find the overview by clicking here.

After talking about color, character, shape and whathaveyou the last couple of parts, we've finally reached the stage to ask about specific specimen - which will be content of the next couple of updates that wait in line, starting with 29 ~ 32 - which I roughly dubbed the cute and fluffy edition.

a month in a nutshell ♡ 2016.01

No comments:
It's incredible how fast this first month of 2016 went by again already.
I'm in the middle of my exam preparations but still decided to take some time off to prepare this small résumé of the last couple of weeks here. The months in a nutshell series, that has been on my blog since 2014 is definitely one of my favorite things to do and I'm happy that I didn't abandon it yet.
It's a nice way to keep track of what has been going on in my life for myself too, especially when you seem to live from one kanji test and/or presentation to the next and don't realize where time is actually going in the midst of it all.
It's time to share some impressions and small stories from January.
